The San Francisco Orchid Society has chosen the theme for the 2010 Pacific Orchid Exposition: it’s CARNAVAL! The 58th Pacific Orchid Exposition will take place from February 26 – 28, 2010 at Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion.

The Pacific Orchid Exposition is known throughout the world, and this year it is considered the number one orchid show in the country; it’s the most prestigious orchid show in the United States. Its reputation has been built by the diversity of the species and hybrids that are showcased in its spectacular displays.  More than 20,000 people attend this annual fundraiser that will be sponsored by KGO TV and the CBS Radio network.

Over  150,000 orchid flowers from all over the world are displayed in educational exhibits from local, national and international orchid growers, both professional and amateur.  These award winning plants will create a whimsical environment because of their diversity in color, shape and sizes.
