thumbnailCAE68JKG.jpgHey it's very soggy here in the CSRA.  It's been raining steady all day.  Ok, here's what's happening:  Saturday, 10-5, Sunday 10-4 @ The Living History Park in N. Augusta, Colonial Times:  A Day to Remember.  Living History Park, 299 W. Spring Grove Ave.; free 803-279-7560

Saturday, Oct. 24: 6-9 pm; Spirits of hallowed Eve; Living History Park, 299 W. Spring Grove Ave.; $5 reservation fee, refunded at check-in; (803-279-7560. There will be 5 or more storytellers at this event. Horse & wagon tours will take guests into the park to hear ghost stories.  The tours will begin at 6 pm and will leave every 15 minutes. Participants who would like to go on the tour must pre-register.  The Spring House Tavern will be serving refreshments and there will be games to play.  The grand finale will take place in front of the tavern about 8:15 pm.  If You Go:  There is a wine & spirits dinner at 6:30 pm on Oct. 23rd at the Spring House Tavern at Living History Park, 299 W. Spring Grove Ave.  Cost is $50, includes dinner with three entrees and entertainment.  You can check them out at www.colonialtimes.us.

Georgia-Carolina State Fair:  Friday, Oct. 25; open 5 pm.  Monday-Friday, noon Saturday-Sunday; 301 Hale St., Augusta. CSRA Wine Festival: 1-4 pm Saturday; sample more than 200 wines, various cheeses, bread and tapas; the Augusta Rose Society will present the 47 annual Rose Show; music provided by Garden City Jazz; Savannah Rapids Pavilion, 3300 Evans to Lock Road, Martinez; $30 before Oct. 15, $35 at the door; designated driver tickets are $15; LocalWineEvents.com.

thumbnailCARDWQEE.jpgIt's starting to cool down with cool mornings and nights, but it's still in the 70's here.  The farmers markets will be open until the 1st of November.  If you are looking for gourds go to the market at the light on Hwy 25 towards Edgefield.  He has the biggest selection I've ever seen.

The Hallowed Eve event is this weekend at Living History Park in North Augusta.  Go to: www.colonialtimes.us and check it out.  That place is awesome.  Take some empty jugs and fill them with pure spring water.  Yes, they have a natural spring on site and it is the best drinking water I've ever tasted.
