Scented sachets for the potty

Don't forget to decorate the bathroom when you're having a party or guests for dinner. Ok, this is a simple sewing project. Buy some fine potpourri, or dig down into your potpourri stash where the small stuff falls to the bottom. You will need 1/4 yard of tulle or organza. A light gold or bronze color is great. Cut several 11 in length by 8 1/2 in wide pieces of tulle. Put the two 11 " lengths together and run a stitch down it. Turn this sleeve inside out and tie an organza ribbon bow at one end. Use 1/4 inch ribbon in a pretty Christmas color. Use a tablespoon to spoon in the potpourri. I always used the Christmas scent for the potpourri, but another couple of options is balsam needles and lavender buds. Fill it nice and full and tie off this end as well. You're done. These little sachets can be placed in a basket on the back of the potty, or tucked into the towel/linen shelf if you have one in the bathroom, or my favorite place is the neck of the toilet bowl, behind the lid. Every time someone puts the lid up to use the potty it touches the sachet and puts the scent into the room. You may think this is going too far, but I guarantee that you will get all kinds of compliments on this simple easy idea. I gave them as a gift one year and got rave reviews. That lady was in a gardening club and she entertained quite often.
I have included 3 clipart pics and the finished product is not like the sachet, but it will give you a general idea of how it will look.
